CELESTIAL SILVER DEW
This contemporary ring explores the interplay between light and shadow, evoking the beauty of a starlit winter night. The piece is hand-sculpted from black pigmented Limoges porcelain, featuring a textured crown domed with pure silver elements. The crystalline silver particles catch and reflect light against the unglazed black surface, creating the impression of frost or dew illuminated by moonlight. The creation process involves multiple firing cycles. After the initial bisque firing, the porcelain undergoes
vitrification at cone 10 (2.350°F/1.288°C), transforming into a durable, non-porous material. The pure silver elements are carefully applied in layers, with additional firings between applications, allowing the metallic accents to develop their distinctive shimmer and depth. This contemporary ring explores the interplay between light and shadow evoking the beauty of a start winter night.
